Ladysmith Yacht Club
Reciprocal Dock Rules

LOCATION
Ladysmith Yacht Club has a floating clubhouse located at the end of "A" dock at Ladysmith Marina (formerly Ivy Green Marina), which is on the west shore of Ladysmith Harbour. This is the last marina on your port side as you proceed into Ladysmith Harbour. It is across the harbour from the marina at the Page Point (formerly Manana) Lodge

MOORAGE
We have 100 feet of guest dock suitable for vessels up to 45 feet on a first-come basis.

FACILITIES
Please note that the marina is currently under redevelopment, and washrooms, showers and laundry should not be expected untill the development is completed.

Power is 15-amp @ $3.00 per day. Washrooms, laundry, café and chandlery are located at the Marina. Water is available during summer only. Visitors are welcome to use our deck, and barbeques are located there for guest use. The clubhouse is not open except for scheduled club events. The Town of Ladysmith is approximately 1 km. from the Marina. Some shops will provide transportation back to the marina. Fuel is available across the harbour at Page Point Marina. (250) 245-2312

The Ladysmith Yacht Club now has a SELF REGISTRATION proceedure for our reciprocal dock, which is located adjacent to our floating clubhouse. The procedures are as follows:

BREMERTON YACHT CLUB

Burrard Yacht Club

Conditions: Report to clubhouse on arrival. 7 Days maximum per year. First 2 days are free, additional @ $.25/foot/day. Power $4.00/day. Club keys for Gate and club facilities are available. Membership card required, Burgee requested to be displayed.

CANADIAN FORCES SAILING ASSOC. - ESQUIMALT

Location: North side of Esquimalt Harbour near Dept. of public works dry dock (see charts for proper approaches).
Moorage: Newly renovated clubhouse and docks.
Facilities: Water and 15 amp – no charge, showers and hot water – no charge, Clubhouse bar – open Tuesdays – Sunday (times posted), Bus service to downtown Victoria, short walk to Esquimalt and Admirals Roads for shopping, restaurants, pubs.
Conditions: Visiting yachts must call "Port Security" on Channel 10 VHF prior to entering Esquimalt harbour and report the name of the yacht, number of persons aboard and your destination (CFSA). All craft must keep clear of military facilities such as wharves and there are YELLOW buoys off the naval jetties to define the closest allowable approach. Under normal conditions this is all a matter of routine but you may be approached by a guard boat for a visual inspection. Boarding is unlikely. Reciprocal facilities and services are as follows; first two days moorage - no charge. further moorage at $0.50/ft/day to a total of 7 days alongside twice yearly; water and 15 amp. Electricity is available on the floats at no charge; shower and hot water - no charge; As you round the caissons the customs dock at the end of "B" float will be visible. Both ends of the main float to the east and at right angles to "B" float is our visitors berth and may be approached from both ends of the caissons. After you have secured your vessel please register your arrival at the bar or the office in the double trailer below the Clubhouse. If neither place is open, contact the Foreshore Chairman, Larry Govang at 250 474-9188. Please fly your burgee at all times during your visit with us. Advance notice appreciated.

CAMPBELL RIVER YACHT CLUB

Location: Pacific Playgrounds Marina located adjacent to (and immediately south of) Oyster River estuary. Watch channel markers, the depth is shallowest by the outermost post. You wil need a tide of minimum 5 ft for a boat with a draft of 4.5 ft. Tide reference table is Mittlenatch Island. CAUTION: the channel is narrow and exposed to S.E. winds. Do NOT attempt passage during high swells or winds.
Moorage: First come first serve basis, year-round. Limited to boats of 34 feet or less between slips 275 and 281 on finger "J" (first to port when entering marina); larger vessels may sometimes be accomodated when space is available at the marina--check with the marina office. Tie up at one of the available spaces and then register at the marina office showing your paid-up membership with a reciprocal club.
Facilities: Swimming pool is free to use for 2003. The marina offers fuel, water, hydro, minor groceries and confectionary, showers, laundry. Tennis courts and golf course are at the marina. Pubs and restaurants are nearby and Discovery Foods (for grocery supplies) is a ten-minute walk. The Campbell River Transit System bus stop is across from Discovery Foods.
Conditions: No reservations taken. Call ahead for availability (250) 337-5600, proof of paid membership required. First 48 hours moorage and water are free, then additional days at seasonal rates. 15 amp power is $2.00 per day. Deposit of $5.00 for security gate keys.

CAPITAL CITY YACHT CLUB

Moorage: 100 feet of visitors dock plus extra during summer when members are away. List of vacant slips is posted.
Facilities: Clubhouse when open, toilets and showers inside, BBQ area by the clubhouse.
Conditions: Upon arrival, either check in at the visitor's dock, go up to the visitor's booth to find an available slip, or stay at the visitor's dock if no slips are available. Keys to the gate and clubhouse will need to be obtained from one of the members. No boats are to be left unattended overnight.. 2 days free twice a year, followed by a maximum of 5 days per visit at CDN$0.50 per ft per day. A total of 9 days per year. 30 amp power is $ 4.00 /day. Payment on honour system in deposit box at the gate. Keys to the gate are available at the visitors dock Club burgees to be flown. No barbequing on wharfs.

COMOX VALLEY YACHT CLUB

CORINTHIAN YACHT CLUB OF SEATTLE

Conditions: Stays are limited to 48 hours; extensions must be arranged through the club office.
On arrival, guests must register at the registration box and pick up a key that provides access to the marina facilities and main gate. (Please remember to return the key when leaving) Club burgees must be displayed.

CRESCENT BEACH YACHT CLUB

Facilities: Facilities include :Toilets, washroom, shower and laundry facilities. On-site fuelling, (gas and diesel) and chandlery. 15 and 30 amp power and water available at all docks. Restaurants and convenience stores within 15 minutes walk. The clubhouse is open Thursday through Sunday, please show your club card when you visit the clubhouse and sign our visitor's log.
Concitions: When planning to visit the Crescent Beach Marina, please phone the marina office at 604-538-9666, identify yourself, your club and details concerning your boat and advise them that you enjoy reciprocal privileges with Crescent Beach Yacht Club, the marina will advise you whether they have suitable sized slips available. You will be able to use available slips for up to 2 nights free of charge and thereafter normal marina rates will apply. While in the slip would you please fly your club burgee so that our members can identify and welcome you. When approaching the bridge, known as bridge 69, if the bridge is closed, contact the bridge operator on VHF 66 or give 3 blasts on your horn to have the bridge opened. Facilities include :Toilets, washroom, shower and laundry facilities. On-site fuelling, (gas and diesel) and chandlery. 15 and 30 amp power and water available at all docks. DEEP BAY YACHT CLUB
Location: South End of Baynes Sound (Lat 49 deg 28 min, Long 124 deg 44 min). The club is at the Deep Bay Marina, attached to the east side of the Deep Bay government wharf. Website: www.dbyc.ca
Moorage: Limited reciprocal berths are availalble. Call ahead to the marina manager 250 757-8664 or cell phone 250 830-8589. He also monitors channel 68. You can dock temporarily at any vacant berth at the marina and check vacant reciprocal berths at the floating clubhouse (with the flagstaff). You must register with the marina manager.
Facilities: Visitors may use the float area of the floating clubhouse. 15 amp power and water is available dockside. Public toilets and shower facilities are available in the new grey cement block building at the foot of the wharf, just beyond the government wharfinger's office. Also free pumpout.
Conditions: The visitor must be in good standing with the Ladysmith Yacht Club and must fly the club burgee. One overnight stay free of charge, once per year. Extra days can be arranged with the marina manager for 50 cents per foot.

EAGLE HARBOUR YACHT CLUB

Conditions: Members of Yacht Clubs that have reciprocal privileges may request moorage at the Club, approval and assignment of such, shall be by the Harbour Master or such authorized servant of the Club. Any vessel receiving reciprocal privileges must provide vessel and insurance information along with a $20 key card deposit. All visiting vessels must display a visitor sticker on their vessel for the duration of their stay. Any visitor stay over three days requires specific approval of the Harbour Master. All visitor moorage will be on a first come, first serve basis.

LADNER YACHT CLUB

Location: 10 miles from Sand Heads Lighthouse, at the entrance to the south arm of the Fraser River and 5 miles past the port of Steveston.
Moorage: Over 2000 feet of dock space, guests assigned by resident manager.
Facilities: All docks equipped with water, 15-amp power, washrooms in the club building. Town of Ladner is a short walk, restaurants and shopping.
Conditions: First 48 hours is free, next 2 days at $.20 /foot. Phone in advance for availability of dock space. For those unfamiliar with the Fraser River, the key advice is to plan your arrival to coincide within an hour or two of high tide when currents are relatively slack (not low tide). The other important advise is that Roberts Bank extends miles into Georgia Strait, what looks like open ocean may not be; so, plan to navigate a GPS course to the Sand Heads river entrance.

MAPLE BAY YACHT CLUB

NANAIMO YACHT CLUB

Oak Harbor Yacht Club

RICHMOND YACHT CLUB

Moorage: Visitor moorage is available on a reciprocal privileges basis at our Cadboro Bay facility, from April to October, on the northern-most outer slips. Conditions: Temporarily tie up at the Visitor's dock and then register at either the Foreshore office, Club Office or the Bar. Available space will be assigned. Club burgee must be flown. 2 nights free subsequent nights: 75¢ per foot per night, subject to availability moorage permitted up to 4 nights monthly and 14 days per year no facility charges electrical: $3/day

SALT SPRING ISLAND SAILING CLUB

SAN JUAN ISLAND YACHT CUB

Moorage: The outside end-tie on "F" dock in the Port of Friday Harbor. There is 100 lineal feet, and rafting is mandatory up to three deep.
Facilities: Two power and water hook-ups on "F" dock. Showers, washrooms, etc. are located right there at the Port of Friday Harbour.
Conditions: SJIYC does not monitor Port of Friday Harbor VHF traffic (Ch.66). You may contact SJIYC by cell phone - (360) 378-3434 during office hours. During the summer months (June-September) stays are limited to one night. October through May you’re welcome to stay up to three nights. Upon arrival, you must check in with the Port of Friday Harbor Harbormaster. They will issue a charge of $4.00 per night if you are hooked to power and water. Upon entering the clubhouse, visiting members of reciprocal yacht clubs are required to present their club membership card to the Club Manager, bartender, or to a designated SJIYC member for approval. Each visitor must then sign the registration sheet and be issued a reciprocal badge. This badge (nametag) must be worn to remain in the clubhouse and be served food or beverages.

You will be required to fly our club burgee and have your current membership available. A self registering program at the head of the dock is in effect, and stays are limited to 48 hours. Power is $3.00 per day.

SIDNEY NORTH SAANICH YACHT CLUB

WEST SOUND CORINTHIAN YACHT CLUB

Conditions: Visiting boats need to display to the Marina staff a current yacht club membership card and display their burgee at all times while using reciprocal moorage privileges. Usage is limited to no more than 24 consecutive hours and not more than three boats from the same yacht club on the same night or six boats total on the same night. We also limit the total expenditure to $15.00 per boat per visit. Based upon the marina's transient moorage rate, this will cover approximately a 35 foot boat on the inside of the North Breakwater. Guests pay the marina for any excess length charge or a slip. The Marina staff will collect payment from the visiting boat owner for amount exceeding $15.00 for the first night, subsequent moorage beyond the first night, electricity (if used), and surcharge for reservations (if applicable).
